Quiet minimalist villa, halfway between Comporta and Carvalhal

Villa located in the province of Setúbal (Portugal), in a residential area of Porto Covo, a fishing village that preserves the authenticity of the streets with white houses and enjoys the proximity of quiet beaches bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. The contemporary architecture of the building, with its flat roof, large windows and cubic and geometric shapes, is also reflected in the interior decoration where white walls reign supreme with designer designer furniture, white walls and sand-coloured polished concrete floors.

This villa with a U-shaped floor plan that gives it privacy, has a capacity for eight guests and is distributed over one floor. The common areas, living room, dining room and kitchen, occupy the same open-plan space, open to the exterior through large sliding doors that bring the dune landscape into the house and offer impressive views of the surrounding landscape.

There are four large bedrooms with direct and independent access to the exterior and en-suite bathrooms that receive natural light through large skylights.

The living room and dining room, with a concrete ceiling, share a space that is also shared with the kitchen, which is separated by a peninsula with high stools. The decoration is minimalist and consists of furniture, accessories and lamps made from natural materials, with austere linen and cotton upholstery, light woods, braided fibres and hydraulic tile finishes with geometric patterns that add colour and movement to the rooms.

From the living room and through large sliding glass doors there is direct access to the large outdoor terrace where the private swimming pool and the different areas for outdoor enjoyment are located, framed by a teak wood platform that covers the floor designed at different heights.

Several relaxation areas have been created in the garden. There is a relaxation area equipped with sun loungers and mattresses, an outdoor dining area with a parasol and, on a different level, a sitting area with an L-shaped sofa and a side table. In the access area to the house, a wooden pergola overlooks a bicycle parking area.

The minimum stay is 7 days and it is also available for events. It offers a garage, Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning.

The main beach (Praia Grande) is 100 metres away and recommended activities include visits to Roman ruins, dolphin watching, horse riding on the beach, surfing and yoga courses and massage services by appointment. Comporta is an hour’s drive to the north and Lisbon airport is 1 hour 40 minutes away.

Weekly cleaning service is included for rental stays of more than seven nights and pool and garden maintenance is also carried out once a week. Guests receive a Welcome Pack consisting of regional products.
