Pura Comporta Beach Villa is a luxury holiday home located in the picturesque village of Comporta, Portugal, an hour and a quarter drive south of Lisbon. This stunning villa is the perfect retreat for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in a contemporary designed house where large windows open onto the surrounding landscape, including the nearby beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The villa has five comfortable and stylish bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, providing ample space for up to ten people. The living room is designed to be the perfect space for relaxation and entertaining, with a large open plan living and dining area leading out onto a beautiful terrace, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and stunning sunsets.
Designed by renowned architect João Pedro Falcão de Campos, this modern house pays homage to the traditional Alentejo houses with white walls, gabled roofs and Estremoz marble stone. The minimalist, Mediterranean architecture is dominated by emphatic lines, in contrast to the natural surroundings.
The house is on the border between the green alluvial plain and the white sand dune. It sits on a sand hill and lets the natural dune pass underneath. On the north side, it enjoys views that frame the floodplains and the sunset. On the south side, the house opens onto a private, sheltered sun deck that connects to the 12-metre long heated swimming pool surrounded by a sandy garden with pine trees.
Inside, white walls and floors create a warm, neutral palette with traditional Portuguese wood furnishings and textiles. The three suites enjoy privileged sunset views through a large window, with access to a suspended north deck. The relaxing natural views and the sound of the ocean make it the perfect place to hang out or read a book. The largest bedroom has an en-suite freestanding bathtub with views of spectacular ocean sunsets and the Serra da Arrábida coastline. The house has a kitchen with island in Estremoz marble stone, living room, indoor dining room and table under a vine-covered pergola to enjoy meals al fresco.
