ART U READY: 10 years of commitment to art as a driver of transformation

Over the past decade, ART U READY has established itself as a platform for selecting, supporting, and promoting talent, anticipating career paths that now resonate within the international art scene. The artists who have participated in these ten years have developed solid and prominent careers.

During ARCO Week, ART U READY celebrates its tenth anniversary by returning to its origins: REMED, the first artist to exhibit on the platform, inaugurates this new cycle with his exhibition La Lumière de l’Âme.

From New York to Madrid, REMED will be in charge of inaugurating ART U READY’s tenth anniversary, in a return laden with symbolism and shared memories. An artist now internationally acclaimed returns to the platform that hosted his first exhibition in Madrid, closing a circle that speaks of trust, vision, and mutual growth.

“We are especially proud to recall how one of the REMED works exhibited in our studio traveled directly to New York to occupy, in February 2018 and in a large format, the facade of the new Longchamp flagship store on Fifth Avenue,” says Silvia Hengstenberg (CEO of ART U READY).

The work, titled L’Eau delà-Émoi, accompanied the building’s construction for months, becoming a visual treat for both New Yorkers and visitors to the city.

REMED is today a versatile creator capable of engaging with the worlds of luxury, fashion, and design without losing his powerful identity, and for ART U READY, REMED will always be an essential artist. He was the featured artist in our first exhibition in February 2016, followed by a show in our studio for Madrid Open House in October of that same year. Since then, ART U READY has been a loyal witness to his unstoppable artistic evolution, which today translates into a solid international presence and reality. Grateful for his trust from the beginning, we celebrate his growth with the certainty that each step has been the fruit of honest and consistent work.

REMED’s work is characterized by a constant search for truth through simplicity. His visual language relies on line as a fundamental element to construct a universal language of forms and colors, capable of connecting cultures, territories, and sensibilities. Geometry, symbolism, and spirituality coexist in a unique universe that transcends muralism to engage with architecture, public space, and time.

Now a leading voice in contemporary art, REMED inaugurates the 10th anniversary of ART U READY, reaffirming the spirit with which the platform was born: to support talent from its inception, to foster it consistently, and to celebrate its consolidation without losing its essence.

Returning to REMED is to come full circle and reaffirm a founding intuition: to identify talent at its source, to support it consistently, and to celebrate its consolidation without losing its essence.

La Lumière de l’Âme is a worldview: a way of understanding how reality is organized and what place humankind occupies within it. REMED’s work connects with collective memory and a shared consciousness that situates us as part of a whole.

In her visual universe, a sensitive order emerges, constructed from the beginning. Woman appears as a primordial archetype and creative principle, while the body is presented as a threshold where consciousness inhabits matter. It is not a body offered merely to the gaze, but a symbolic structure that houses thought, emotion, and memory.

Through compositions in which figures, geometry, and color converse in perfect balance, REMED constructs timeless scenes. In some works, he reinterprets Old Masters such as Ingres, Palma le Vieux, and Gauguin, transforming their references into a more symbolic and contemporary presence. The sea, a recurring theme in his recent work, introduces the dimension of flux and change.

A painter, sculptor, and poet, REMED conceives of art as an act of awareness and hope, where Love acts as a unifying principle. It is an invitation to recognize, through beauty and harmony, that we are all part of a whole.

And on this tenth anniversary of ART U READY, Kinesis, the new exhibition by ELIURPI, a duo formed by Elisabet Urpí and Nacho Umpiérrez, could not be missing, which takes as its starting point the philosophical concept of κίνησις to reflect on movement as an essential condition of matter and continuous change.

Through a dialogue between textile sculpture and photography, the exhibition proposes a space where form, light, and transformation construct a poetic and contemporary language. The works explore the tension between tradition and experimentation, understanding movement not only as displacement, but as vital energy and becoming.

The exhibition will take place in a private and secret space within The Sibarist portfolio, in the Justicia neighborhood, accessible only by prior registration and with limited capacity. An intimate experience to engage with the artwork and the artists in a direct and personal way.

Registration and more information

Since its inception in 2016, ART U READY has been born from a deep passion for and connection to art understood as a tool for social transformation. It is a platform conceived as a living cell of constantly evolving ideas, where architecture, art, design, technology, and critical awareness converge. A place from which to observe the present, question it, and activate new perspectives.

Over the past decade, ART U READY has programmed 31 exhibitions in unique spaces, from its headquarters, El Invernadero, to singular properties in The Sibarist’s portfolio, and has launched an international call for artists focused on architecture and urbanism under the title “Thinking the City”. These projects invite reflection on how we inhabit, build, and transform our environment.

SOBRE REMED

REMED (Guillaume Alby) is a French artist born in Paris in 1978 and based in Suances, Cantabria, Spain. His work lies at the intersection of the figurative and the abstract, the mathematical and the spiritual. His practice seeks a universal visual language, constructed from simple forms, organic lines, and vibrant colors that engage with both classical tradition and ancestral symbols.

Coming from the world of graffiti and urban art, REMED has developed over time a highly personal and unmistakable style, where geometry, calligraphy, and symbolic narrative intertwine to address essential questions such as life and death, duality, and harmony. His work, influenced by Islamic art and mathematical proportions, uses these systems as a framework to create pieces that function as maps of thought and human experience.

Each work, from murals in public spaces to large-format canvases, is conceived as an attempt to reveal the world’s profound order through simplicity, rhythm, and form. For REMED, art is not merely an aesthetic matter, but an act of the soul and mind, a connection between the inner and outer worlds.

Although his studio output is increasingly extensive, he maintains a strong presence in the urban environment, where he intervenes experimentally with philosophical messages and calligraphy, often created with chalk on city walls. In this gesture, art becomes a form of healing, a public therapy directed outward.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, and her signature can be found on murals across four continents. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions worldwide and has developed significant educational work, notably her work at the Children’s Museum of the Arts in New York in 2011.

ABOUT ELIURPI

Elisabet Urpí and Nacho Umpiérrez are an artistic duo who work and share a way of life, both professionally and personally. Under the name ELIURPI, they began in 2010 creating unique pieces in the form of objects and hats. They are multidisciplinary artists with a very defined aesthetic that is consistent with their values. In 2020, their sculptural works began to be acquired by international fashion and art collectors. This opened a new paradigm and perspective for them, offering a vision for the future.

Since their artistic debut, “From Art to Object and from Object to Art”, with ART U READY at ARCO Madrid 2022, ELIURPI’s artistic career has continued to expand. In 2023, they launched the exhibition “Retratos circulares” at ARCO Week in Madrid. They represented Spain at the South Korean Biennale of Contemporary Art and Crafts, receiving an honorable mention, and participated in the Biennale of Contemporary Catalan Crafts: Visions of Catalonia, exhibiting in Barcelona, Dubai, and Milan. They were selected by curator Carlos Quintans for the “12 Perspectives” project at the Vilaseco Gallery in A Coruña. Awarded Best of Spain 2023 by AD, ELIURPI was also invited to be included in the prestigious Homo Faber guide by the Michelangelo Foundation in 2023. In 2024, they held their first international solo exhibition during Milan Design Week, as part of 5 VIE Milano, and participated in a group exhibition at the Barcelona Design Museum. That same year, at ARCO and ART U READY, they presented “Origen”, an exhibition showcasing ELIURPI’s most conceptual art. Textile and light installations told a story rooted in origin, nature, and tradition—an ode to traditional materials transformed into pure, aesthetic design. They also presented a very special collaboration with Studio Bañón, Cartier, Massimo Dutti, and Serrano 47, among others.

In 2025, ELIURPI consolidated its international presence with the solo exhibition “Shadows and Poems” at Il·lacions Gallery (Barcelona), as well as with the exhibition “Panta Rei” at Sala El Taller in Mas de Torrent (l’Empordà), curated by Thais Botinas and Mediterrània at Escat Gallery Barcelona. They participated in institutional exhibitions such as “Matter Matters” at the DHUB Museu del Disseny de Barcelona and “La Línea Sueña” within the Madrid Design Festival. Their work was also featured in “12 Out of 100K” at Design Miami. Furthermore, they developed artistic projects and installations in collaboration with LivingCeramics and MANERA Magazine, and participated in artistic initiatives for international brands such as Massimo Dutti. They recently opened an exhibition in Bali at the SUN CONTEMPORARY gallery.

Craftsmen, creative and honest, they are part of the new generation of 21st century artists where there are no borders.

Her work as a curator goes beyond selection: it’s a practice of listening, intuition, and respect for creative processes. As an art historian, she champions her art advisor and curatorial project, prioritizing live experience over online sales. Botinas proposes personalized, unhurried visits that recapture the live artistic experience and foster an exchange of sensibilities with discernment and ethics. Collaborating with Kinesis is, in that sense, a declaration of intent: art without urgency, art with soul.
