This property is a detached house forming part of a typical Galician farming village. It is a traditional accommodation recently refurbished to update its design in an urban setting while respecting the original structure. Thanks to the respectful intervention the building retains the original gable roof and stone walls and original door and window frames. The improvement work has been carried out by hand using sustainable, indigenous and recycled materials.
The house is located in the Ulla valley, 15 minutes from Santiago de Compostela and, thanks to its strategic location in the heart of Galicia, makes it the ideal place of origin from which to discover every corner of the Galician geography. It has been designed with the aim of making it a place of rest to enjoy its inspiring natural landscapes around the river Ulla and to be the ideal starting point to get to know the region.
The house has 80 square metres distributed over two floors and can accommodate up to 4 people. Its interior has been carefully planned and designed to achieve maximum functionality in a modern space, with Nordic style touches in the decoration that blend perfectly with the old traditional construction.
It has a work area with fast wifi and a living area with sofa-bed, armchairs, television and fireplace. Kitchen with dining area open to the lounge area. There is a bedroom on the upper floor accessed via a charming restored wooden staircase. The only bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed (150 x 200 cm).
It overlooks the Ulla valley and has a modern and functional modern wardrobe-dressing area and reading chair. It has a complete, individual bathroom with shower, hairdryer and a minimalist design based on handmade natural wood elements.
The garden has a covered porch area where you can enjoy breakfast, relax or have dinner on the portable barbecue. There is an enclosed car park next to the laundry area. It is ideal for 2 or 4 guests.
Its fantastic location, less than 1 km from the motorway that connects Santiago de Compostela with Orense, makes this house the perfect accommodation from which to visit any corner of Galicia.
Surrounded by privileged natural areas around the river Ulla, it is ideal for activities in nature such as hiking or cycling, traditional gastronomic activities in its restaurants and furanchos, visiting its emblematic pazos and getting to know its characteristic viticulture, which belongs to the Rías Baixas designation of origin.
