Unique place with history and potential to develop unique projects Porcieda is a small abandoned village 10km from Potes, belonging to the municipality of Vega de Liébana. It is considered one of the oldest villages in Liébana and, although it has not been inhabited for 20 years, its houses are currently considered to be one of the best examples of popular architecture in Liébana. It is undoubtedly an ideal village to restore and include in the Rural Development programmes, enhancing the key objectives: environmental, social, productive and cultural.
This small hamlet consists of 10 half-ruined houses, spread over 12 plots of land. At the entrance to the village is one of the best preserved buildings, the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves. The village consists of 1.325m2 built and 378 m2 of unbuilt urban land, spread over a plot of 2.183m2.
