Argüebanes is a small village located 360 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Eastern Massif of the Picos de Europa mountains, in mountainous terrain along the valley formed by the Seteda or Mancorbo stream, which originates in the Sierra Mojones (a spur of the Ándara Massif). It is 5 kilometers from the municipal capital, Camaleño, and 4 kilometers from Potes, and is situated directly opposite the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana, of whose lands it once formed part.
It borders urban land and the Church of San Adriano. It has access to water, electricity, and a sewage system. The Mancorbo and Cendal rivers flow through it. Within the village grounds is an area of native Atlantic broadleaf forest (oaks, cork oaks, and holm oaks).
