Finca with views of the Sierra de Gredos in Cáceres

Description

Finca Los Labrados is located in the municipality of Robledillo de la Vera, in Cáceres, just two hours from Madrid. Located on the southern side of the Sierra de Gredos, this estate enjoys a privileged natural environment, with a moderate climate all year round, without extreme temperatures.

The region is one of the rainiest in Spain, which favours lush and fertile vegetation.

The landscape is dotted with olive groves, fruit trees and large areas of woodland.

In summer, the heat is bearable thanks to the cool breeze from the mountains, and at night, the temperatures drop enough to make it necessary to wrap up warm.

The area offers many leisure options, such as hiking in the mountains, swimming in natural pools, canoeing, horse riding and other outdoor activities. It also enjoys stunning views of the Sierra de Gredos and has a rose garden and its layout and porch allow you to enjoy natural light throughout the day.

Layout:

The estate features a 500 m² main house, a 100 m² guest house, and approximately 60 hectares of land. In total, it can accommodate up to 17 guests (12 adults and 5 children), distributed across 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.

The main house has a U-shaped design, with a central courtyard serving as the main entrance. In one wing of the house, there are five double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, with the master bedroom standing out for its size and its stunning views of the mountain range. The same wing also includes a cinema room, equipped with a large sofa and a high-definition projector. The opposite wing of the house contains a spacious living room with two separate areas, a fireplace, a games room/library, and the dining room, which also has its own fireplace. Adjacent to these rooms extends the porch—considered one of the estate’s jewels—offering views of the Sierra de Gredos and a rose garden with more than 1,000 specimens. Antique wooden furniture, the soft texture of the sofas, and the stone and ceramic surfaces add a sense of comfort and rustic charm, seamlessly connecting the interior with the surrounding nature.

The kitchen, laundry room, pantry, and a guest toilet are distributed throughout the house, ensuring both functionality and comfort. The guest house features four double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living area with lounge, dining space, and kitchen, as well as a fireplace for added warmth. Its cantilevered terrace allows guests to enjoy the natural surroundings, with both sitting and dining areas. Additionally, an independent games room includes billiards, table tennis, darts, and foosball, providing entertainment at any time.

The outdoor areas of the estate are designed to fully enjoy the natural environment. The swimming pool, surrounded by a large garden shaded by trees, offers a perfect retreat during hot summer days. Nearby, an artificial-grass croquet field invites guests to enjoy outdoor activities. The estate also includes a chicken coop for personal use and a kennel, contributing to the property’s self-sufficiency.

The estate’s crops—most notably the terraced olive groves—enable the production of its own olive oil. The vegetable garden and orchard provide fresh produce for personal consumption. The property also features a beautiful oak forest, ideal for walks at any time of the year, as well as several ponds that enrich both the landscape and local wildlife.

The estate is located approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes by car from Madrid, and 223 km from Madrid Barajas Airport. It is also accessible by train to Navalmoral de la Mata, from where a taxi is required. Although rail service in the region is not always efficient, a trusted local contact is available to assist with transfers from Barajas. There is also a bus service to Navalmoral de la Mata, where a taxi can then take you directly to the property.

The area offers a wide range of outdoor activities. Mountain excursions—adapted to various difficulty levels—are a popular option, as well as swimming in the natural pools found throughout the region. Local adventure companies offer horseback riding, canoeing, and other outdoor activities that highlight the natural beauty and landscape of the area.

From inside the house and its large windows, the view is dominated by the vegetation and the natural landscape surrounding the estate.

The materials used in the decoration and the furniture are cosy and warm.

The fresh mountain air and the natural aroma of the rose garden and the crops of the estate fill the outdoor environment. Inside, the mixture of wood, plants and wood-burning fireplaces provide a warm and cosy atmosphere, with a touch of the aroma of nature.

Fresh produce from the estate’s orchard and fruit trees, such as the estate’s own olive oil, allow local flavours to be enjoyed at every meal. The proximity to nature also provides access to seasonal fruit and vegetables that enrich the gastronomic experience for locals and visitors alike.

The sound of nature is the protagonist of the landscape. Birdsong, the rustle of the wind through the trees and the murmur of the water of the nearby ponds bring a unique tranquillity. The interior of the house also benefits from absolute silence, interrupted only by the crackling of the fireplaces and the soothing sound of the fire.
