From former watering hole to art gallery in Madrid’s Soho district

This spacious industrial building, located between the Urgel and Oporto metro stations, was a former cow trough that conserves the garden, the height of the ceilings and the original windows that bring a great deal of natural light into the interior.

It is located in the emerging neighbourhood of Carabanchel, considered the new Soho of Madrid, just a few metres from outstanding art galleries of international resonance and where creators and entrepreneurs belonging to different artistic and creative disciplines have decided to set up their studios and workshops.

This space, dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging and young artists, has a surface area of 200 m2 and maintains the original structure in the office and storage areas. It has continuous polished concrete floors in a tile colour and walls painted in white like the ceilings, which retain the old vaulted shape.

The neutrality of the spaces is ideal for photo shoots, filming, press days and an endless number of events that will undoubtedly have their finishing touch in the landscaped courtyard that provides versatility to the celebrations and can be a plus of great value and creative freedom.
