Dehesa of great scenic beauty set in the privileged surroundings of the Sierra Morena Oriental, in the foothills of Despeñaperros, Jaén, with a marked tradition of hunting and fighting cattle.
Located 290 km from Madrid, it has a surface area of 230 hectares, of dehesa type, for livestock, hunting and recreational use.
OROGRAPHY AND VEGETATION
Undulating orography with gentle hills and pastureland formations with steeper areas in shady areas, with patches of scrubland and altitudes of between 500 and 589 m.
Vegetation made up of holm oak pasture formations and patches of dense scrubland with noble scrub and rockroses, with riverside vegetation and ash trees in streams. Excellent quality pastures.
WATER AND AGRICULTURAL, LIVESTOCK AND HUNTING USES
Abundant water, as the estate is bordered by streams and a river. It has two reservoirs and three boreholes.
At present, the estate is used for grazing sheep, fattening Iberian pigs and for hunting deer and wild boar, both big and small game.
ACCOMMODATION AND BUILDINGS
The main farmhouse dates from the middle of the 19th century and has the typical quadrangular, closed U-shaped layout of the farmhouses in the area, with three naves around a central courtyard, with the residential dwelling at the front and production buildings on the sides (hayloft, stables, sheds, oven, etc.).
The building materials, floors, tiles, doors and railings are mostly the original ones.
The property has a guard house of 100 sq m.
