This property is located in the heart of the Serra de Grândola, in the interior of the Alentejo coastline, set off along dusty roads, occupying an old farmhouse where the new and the old coexist in perfect harmony.
The house is surrounded by nature, so the feeling of peace is instantaneous, and the location guarantees total privacy and tranquillity as it is set in several hectares of land, with no neighbours in the vicinity.
The nearest village to the property is Cruz de João Mendes, a 10 minute drive away. This village is the ideal starting point to discover the nearby fishing villages and the beaches of Comporta and Melides. Further south is Santiago do Cacém, Sines and the old fishing village of Porto Covo.
The house can accommodate up to 6 guests, as it has three double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. As you enter through the handcrafted wooden front door, you will find a space that houses the kitchen and dining room and leads to an outdoor patio sheltered from the afternoon winds, making it perfect for alfresco dining.
To the right is the lounge with fireplace, with a space to relax and also to dine at a large long table. The lounge also connects to an outdoor dining area, next to the kitchen/dining room. Outside there are also sitting and lounge areas to enjoy the different times of the day, depending on the position of the sun.
In the left wing, there are the bedrooms which are connected through glass windows to the outside porch and the garden. The house is surrounded by several private or communal living areas, all of which enjoy breathtaking views. All rooms in the house lead out to the pool area.
The house has underfloor heating in all rooms and a fireplace in the living room. It is kept cool during the summer season thanks to the original thick ‘taipa’ walls that have been maintained from the old farmhouse. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing family meals. The perfect getaway to relax and de-stress from city life.
