Description
In Valinho da Estrada, in Melides, a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Grândola, this house is made up of four concrete constructions that stand on a hilltop overlooking the ocean and the lagoon of this charming Portuguese town. Thanks to its strategic location, this group of buildings, designed by the architectural studio Aires Mateus, receives the refreshing breeze from the Atlantic to make the hot summer days more bearable.
Added to this are the impressive views that can be seen from every corner of the property, which are framed by the windows and openings.
The result of this unique construction is that it achieves a balance between nature and construction, so that the relationship established between exterior and interior is scenographic. The villa is very easy to reach as it is about 500 metres along a dirt road from the main road to the house.
The coastline between Troia and Sines has a wide variety of beaches to choose from, each one different. In the area you can enjoy everything from the nearby sandy beaches that are a surfer’s paradise to the local cafes or luxury resorts with fine dining beach restaurants.
The property has three similar independent suites, each with a bedroom and bathroom, offering a total capacity for up to 8 guests, distributed in three bedrooms. All units are equipped with heating and air conditioning.
The main block and the fourth unit have a large open-plan space equipped with a living room, dining room and kitchen, as well as the master suite and a toilet. The décor has been decorated with high quality furnishings and fittings to create subtle and warm ambiences and provide an instant ‘at home’ feeling.
The large covered terraces and the position of the buildings are constructed in such a way that the sun cannot heat the houses, but the light still floods inside.
On the hillside there is a heated infinity pool, a sun terrace with sun loungers and a covered wooden terrace that completes this bathing area. Privacy is total, as the property has no neighbours in sight. The sloping position below this area overlooks the Atlantic wind and makes it a perfect, sheltered spot for al fresco dining.
Between each of the volumes there are small pebble paths that allow you to stroll through the lush garden that spices up the landscape with sounds of wildlife and scents of flora.
High season is from June to September, with a minimum stay of 7 nights; low season is from October to May, with a minimum stay of 4 nights.
A security deposit is required and is refundable.
Among the services, cleaning is carried out 3 hours a day (except on Sundays).
The house has: washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, internet, TV, rain shower bathtub, air conditioning, heating, indoor fireplace, high chair, cot. Smokers and pets are not allowed.
