This boutique hotel with a capacity for 10 people, five double bedrooms and five bathrooms, spread over 220 square metres, occupies a renovated old Mediterranean farmhouse. Located in the heart of the Marina Alta, near the beautiful village of Benissa, its philosophy and decoration pay homage to Benissa’s most important water table, the Riu Blanc, symbol of life and source of the green valleys that surround it. The Riu Blanc fault stands out especially for its scenic beauty as it is responsible for the cliffs located between Punta de Moraira and Cala del Moraig.
The building is surrounded by green fields, with views of the valley, the Mediterranean Sea, the Peñon de Ifach and the Bernia Mountains. This boutique hotel with swimming pool, 5 spacious suites with private bathrooms, also offers a garden terrace with breathtaking views. It is a perfect hideaway for relaxation as it is set on a 10,000 square metre plot with palm, citrus and orange trees. It is centrally located, just a few kilometres from the beaches and small coves of Benissa, Moraira, Denia, Jávea, Altea and Calpe, and the Jalón valley. The owners, Patricia and Dirk, have entrusted their daughter Claire, an interior architect in Antwerp who runs her own renovation and interior architecture company called Atelier Tangier.
The interior design is inspired by Kandinsky’s idea that colour is a power that directly influences the soul and by the concept of wabi-sabi, a Japanese concept that refers to the beauty of the imperfect, the incomplete and the changing, but also to the beauty of modest and humble, unconventional things. This philosophy is based on enjoying the present and finding peace and harmony in nature and in the little things, as well as peacefully accepting the natural cycle of growth and decay.
