1st The Sibarist Golf Tournament
On August 14th we celebrated our first golf tournament at the wonderful golf course of Santa Marina, Cantabria, which was a great success both for the high level of participation and for the fun that the four-person team scramble modality meant for the players.
The tournament was so well received that the places were sold out immediately and many interested players could not participate, so we promise next year to make two outings to increase the number of teams.
It was a day full of emotions and with great enthusiasm, players and all the friends who gathered in an event that promised to be memorable and did not disappoint. There was no lack of challenges, sportsmanship and teamwork.
From early in the morning the atmosphere on the course was vibrant. The players, armed with their best shots and a positive attitude, faced a course as challenging as it was rewarding. The Santa Marina golf course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and golfers are always technically challenged and face the competition with great respect. The holes became scenarios of intense duels and well thought out strategies, while the participants enjoyed the spectacular natural environment that Santa Marina offers.
But the tournament was not only about golf, we prepared in parallel a fun croquet clinic, which became one of the highlights of the day. It was an opportunity for everyone, from the most experienced to the beginners, to have fun and try something new. The experience turned into a very strategic and competitive game between teams, where there was no shortage of laughter, games and a desire for more.
The event was supported by numerous partners who provided added value, making the day a complete experience. Among them, Casa de Campo La Romana, Bang & Olufsen, La Mer, D.O. In addition, several local companies such as Aramburu, Restaurante Remanse and Bodegas Miradoiro joined this celebration, contributing with their special touch.
We cannot fail to mention the importance of art in our tournament. The renowned ELIURPI were in charge of designing the trophies – sculpture. Also, Marta Botas contributed her talent in the illustration of the welcome pack.
Thanks to the support of our partners, we were able to award prizes on the most challenging holes, recognizing the effort and talent of each team.

In addition, we awarded an additional prize for the longest drive on Hole 1, sponsored by El Capote.
We had a special D.O. Rueda corner throughout the course, which became an obligatory stop for all players in search of refreshments. We were able to taste a selection of delicious wines from different Rueda A.O. wineries, which made the tasting even more attractive, as each player was able to try different wines, creating discussions about gastronomy and sport. Winning combination!
