MARIA JOSÉ LLERGO

She was born in Pozoblanco (Córdoba) in 1994 but lives in the Gràcia neighbourhood of Barcelona. She learned to sing in the countryside with her grandfather Pepe, studied violin until she was 18 and now, at the age of 24, she is called to lead a new revolt in flamenco. The video of Niña de las dunas – her debut – has been played more than 200,000 times on YouTube. She has just collaborated on an album by Juancho Marqués. He has just released Me Miras Pero No Me Ves, a song whose videoclip was partly filmed in one of our venues, Wunderhouse.

The production company Trampoline was commissioned to produce this audiovisual piece. The process of filming at the Wunderhouse was linked to the artistic needs of the project. In this case, they wanted to shoot the performance of the artist, María José, in an atmosphere with a classical and palatial touch, for the world they were recreating in the video clip.

In the words of the director:

“We needed nothing more than to empty the space and light it in our own way, with bright, artificial colours that would take it away from naturalism. The experience was very positive; we had all the necessary facilities to carry out the production. We will do it again when the occasion allows”.
