When you step through the door of the small, magical studio of artist Marta Botas (Gijón, 1977), located in a luminous attic in Madrid's Las Salesas neighbourhood, you enter a universe full of personality, a refuge where colours and overflowing creativity act as a refuge.

An appointment with Lucía Mendoza, the gallery owner behind ISLA, an acronym for Ideario de Sostenibilidad y Laboratorio de Arte, a personal project born with the intention of seeking alternatives to the climate and ecological emergency through the visual arts in the Sierra Oeste de Madrid, in Robledo de Chavela.
They have come on strong. They do so with the conviction and enthusiasm to reinvent and fill the world of Madrid's gastronomy with freshness. An increasing number of young chefs are committed to launching interesting projects in which passion for cooking, creativity and the defence of local and local produce become the absolute protagonists.
